literally or not,sodagreen don't exist in singapore.

its actually quite a touching piece.

this middle aged author majored in chinese and translation.

to pursue his childhood dream,he gave up his career and went back to zero.

his artwork secured him a place in cambridge without even an interview.

(mind you,he didn't take any art course beforehand)

he applied for bursary(tht supposedly comes w a bond) in singapore with the same work he sent in to cambridge.

the e-mail comes after 3months,"your application is unsuccessful"

so he was saying,

humanities will be always behind sci and maths,

afterall,thts what brings economy to a small country.

yet the art of communication is often so neglected to the point that singaporeans face difficulties bringing across emotions with basic language.

and this lack of 'nutritions' is what that makes life pale.

(alittleoutofpoint,but its amusing when a chinese despises his language.

note:i'm talking about despise here.)

this talent thats not regconised don't like how animations took over hand drawn illustrations in sg while alot of other countries are appreciating them.

its saddening how one gets denied in his own soil,

how the country that gave life and raised him,regards him useless with the a cambridge cert of arts and refuse to acknowledge his sincere wish to contribute to the arts sector.

in conclusion,talk of no dreams in singapore.

the arts will continue to be stereotyped as dumping grounds.

you will never find another 6 uni grads risking their future simply because they believe in their dreams.

there will be no noble artists in singapore,

there will be no sodagreen in singapore.

and maybe that is why i chose future over passion.

because,this is singapore.

so to all that made my sceneries in 2009,thank you.

spent my last day of 2009 with the people that shared their upper sec life with me,
camped hours for a worthy(?) 8 mins.

the presence only felt/seen during night.

how interesting.

yet for the past few days i only saw pitch darkness.

no stars,no moon.

then theres the fireworks.

i figured the beauty couldn't be captured on any cameras,moreover my 3.2, so no pictures.

again, the beauty of it can only be appreciated w the contrast of sky colour,

nobody watches them during daytime.

then went to camp at mary's house,

cheat food,cheat drinks,cheat place. :D

2009,tkam,sodagreen and work taught me alot. (ideals&practic)

i'm quite amazed by my generosity towards sodagreen with $$$

got my first album,(what i once perceived to be money wasting)

got it signed,

got to shake hands with the talents i idolise.

2010,not sure how many enemies will i gain this yr.

had chalet with 4f,

gambling is bad. @__@

went for open house/s today,gna open up all possible options.

accountancy attracts me.

not sure how 11th might screw things up though.
